Georgia Pie strain

Georgia Pie is a hybrid of Gelatti and Kush Mints, bred by Seed Junky Genetics and popularized by Cookies, and named for a sweet peach aroma that Leafly likens to fresh peach cobbler.1,2,3,4 It tests at a median total THC of 22.60% across 499 state lab tests of Georgia Pie flower, with the middle half of results between 20.60% and 24.92%.5 CBD is negligible: none of the 255 tests that reported CBD reached 1%.5

The Porch Broadcaster, with deep brown skin, short silver curls, round glasses and dark headphones over her ears, stands on pink porch steps with her eyes closed and a small smile, holding a vintage microphone in one hand and its long cord in the other. She wears a peach-pink cardigan over a cream top, a red neckerchief, rolled blue jeans and cream flat shoes. Behind her are a red porch post and rail, a red lamp hanging from the porch roof and a basket of peaches, with rows of peach trees, a pale sun and a cream sky with pink clouds to the left.

Quick answers

Is Georgia Pie indica or sativa?

A hybrid that most sources tip slightly toward indica. Leafly lists it as a hybrid with mostly calming effects; AllBud gives 60% indica / 40% sativa, SeedFinder calls it slightly indica-dominant, and Weedmaps, which files it under Sticky Buns, calls it indica-dominant.3,4,6,9 Zamnesia’s seed version is 50/50.8

What strain is Georgia Pie?

A cross of Gelatti (Gelato × Biscotti, from Cookies) and Kush Mints (Bubba Kush × Animal Mints), bred by Seed Junky Genetics.1,3,10,11 Leafly made it its August 2023 HighLight strain, when it was on nearly 2,000 menus listed on Leafly.1

How strong is Georgia Pie?

Mid-to-high. The median total THC across 499 state lab tests was 22.60%, and 23.8% of tests reached 25% or more.5 In every year with at least 100 tests (2021–2022) the yearly median stayed between 22.50% and 23.22%.5 Leafly lists 20% and AllBud 25–27%.4,6

What does Georgia Pie taste like?

Peach, by most accounts. Leafly users list peach, apricot and tree fruit, and Leafly’s description likens the smell and taste to fresh peach cobbler; AllBud lists cherry, fruity, herbal, nutty and sweet; Westword’s reviewer smelled something closer to a peach pit, nutty and yeasty at its core.2,4,6

Who bred Georgia Pie? Is it a Cookies strain?

Seed Junky Genetics bred it and Cookies made it famous: Westword describes it as bred by Seed Junky and popularized by Cookies, and Leafly says the Cookies brand built the flavor into a nationwide wave.1,2 Seed Junky, which started in 2007, is based in Northridge, Los Angeles, and despite the name the strain comes from California, not Georgia.2,7

Is Georgia Pie the same as Sticky Buns?

Sources disagree. Weedmaps files Georgia Pie as another name for Sticky Buns, whose Cookies and Seed Junky version is also Kush Mints × Gelatti, and SeedFinder lists it as “aka Sticky Buns”.3,9 Leafly keeps two pages with different flavors, peach for Georgia Pie and nutty vanilla for Sticky Buns, and at the 2022 Emerald Cup one grower entered both.4,12,13

Popular on menus, missing from the sales charts

Georgia Pie is not a chart-topper. It does not appear in Leafly’s best-selling strains of 2025 or in The Marijuana Herald’s September 2026 list of the top-selling strain in each of the 23 states with legal recreational sales.14,15 Its rise shows on menus instead: when Leafly made it the August 2023 HighLight strain, it was listed on nearly 2,000 menus on Leafly, up nearly 100% in a year, and Detroit menus alone carried 129 Georgia Pie products.1

Westword wrote in September 2022 that “Coloradans are in love with Georgia Pie”, listing 23 Colorado dispensaries where its writer had seen it, and AllBud’s description calls it hard to find outside the Colorado area.2,6 On the competition circuit, Farmer and the Felon’s Georgia Pie placed third in sungrown flower at the Emerald Cup in May 2022; Leafly also reports a second place in hybrid flower at Oklahoma’s Medical Cup, grown by Tradecraft Farms, without giving a year.1,13

Breeders have taken it up as a parent: Cookies and Powerzzzup’s Cereal a la Mode, Cookies and Khalifa Kush’s Babby Powder, and Raw Genetics’ Georgia Apple Pie and Zkittlez Pie all descend from it, and SeedFinder counts 35 direct descendants.3,16,17,18,19 Of the 499 state lab tests in our dataset, most come from Michigan (244), Maryland (117) and Nevada (85).5
